Two languages are compulsory, one of which must be English. The achievement of a certified B2 level of English is a prerequisite to obtaining an engineering degree. This has been applied since September 2005, according to the CTI’s express recommendations. The English courses are taught by a permanent lecturer (Professeur agrégé) and by professional trainers ( independent ones or employed by the département chamber of commerce and industry) who are often native speakers.
It is compulsory to learn a second foreign language: German or Spanish. These two languages are also taught by professional trainers of Hispanic or Germanic origin.
